January Monthly Newsletter

Welcome, 2021!
Day 1, day 100 or maybe it’s day 467. Wherever you’re at in your journey, whatever that journey may be, I hope you are waking up this morning with hope, optimism, and excitement.

What does this day look like for you? Will you pack up the holiday decorations? Will you leap out of bed with excitement? Will you grieve all the challenges and losses you experienced in 2020? Will you pray and lean into your faith? Will you wake up feeling hungover? Will you pursue this day with energy?

What will the entirety of 2021 look like for you? What are your hopes and wishes for 2021?

– My wish for you this year, is that you stop doubting, you stop waiting, and you stop hesitating.
– My wish for you this year, is that you believe in yourself, the possibilities and the vision you have.
– My wish for you this year, is that there are more moments of laughter than there are of tears.
– My wish for you this year, is that there are more moments of love than hate and anger.

– My wish for you this year, is that you breathe deeply and reconnect with the essence of you.
– My wish for you is that you live for today because tomorrow is NOT a promise. This moment is the only opportunity you have – make it something worth living for.

Preparing for 2021

Bring it On, 2021!

It may be hard for you to consider coming up with a plan for 2021 when it feels like things could change at the drop of a hat. Let’s plan for 2021 and anticipate massive change. Let’s plan for 2021 and the change you want to make. What are a few small things you want to accomplish in the upcoming year?

  • Do you want learn how to cook?
  • Do you want to organize the basement?
  • Do you want to read 10 books?
  • Do you want to train for a 5K or half marathon?
  • Do you want to strengthen your marriage?
  • Do you want to strengthen your relationship with your kids?
  • Do you want to laugh more?
  • Do you want to travel to Mexico?!

Take a minute to consider a few small things you want to achieve in the upcoming year and write them down. Now, take a minute to consider how you will achieve them. Not only is the goal important to identify, but the how is critical for success.

One thing I will achieve in 2021 is this:

I create a Fit Together Health and Wellness Workbook for my new clients!

This is super exciting for me and probably the first time I have put this out into the universe, BUT it’s something I have been thinking and dreaming about since launching the business in 2019. I think 2021 will be the perfect year to get this going!

So, I’ve clearly laid out one of my goals/intentions for 2021, this is how I’m going to do it:

Goal: Create a Fit Together Health and Wellness Workbook for new clients.

Step 3: Find manufacturer to create book / go to print!

Step 2: Put together the contents of the workbook in a user-friendly, effective layout.

Step 1: Create the contents of the workbook.

This step-by-step process was inspired by Rachel Hollis. Although these steps are big steps and there are micro-steps imbedded in each one, it gives me a clear picture of what I need to start doing and complete before moving to the next step.

So, how about you? Not a goal setter? I encourage you to give it a shot. Even if it seems trivial or like such a small goal – DO IT ANYWAY. If we aim at nothing, we will get nothing every time.

If you want help with this, I’m happy to help! Just reach out and we can develop a step-by-step plan for you to achieve your goals and intentions for 2021.

I believe in you and your ability to achieve your dreams, do you believe in you?

Let’s go!

February Newsletter – My 2020 Word

My 2020 Word: Commit

I tossed around a few different words as the year began, but I consistently found myself going back to the word, “commit”. Webster defines the word commit as: be dedicated to (something), carry out or perpetrate, pledge or bind (a person or an organization) to a certain course or policy.

I chose the word commit to represent 2020 because there are many things I plan to accomplish that I have never accomplished before. I have set goals and intentions for this year with a lot of gumption, enthusiasm and excitement. I have set plans into place to achieve things I never thought I would or could achieve. I chose the word commit because when I am full of doubt, when I am feeling unmotivated, when I am weary of the outcome, when I want to quit or when I have misplaced my belief in myself, I will whisper the word commit as a gentle reminder of the intentions I set.

I understand that my gumption, enthusiasm, and excitement won’t always be present and I have set this word in place as a reminder that I want to acheive big things. That’s the thing about achieving your goals or reaching for the intentions you set, it isn’t always about being motivated or driven to do it, it’s also about being unmotivated and lacking the drive but doing it anyway.

Whatever you want to achieve, whether it be waking up every morning at 0500, starting your day with 8 oz of water, running a 5K, taking dance lessons or being happy, you have to commit yourself to the practice or practices that will get you there. That’s exactly what this year is about for me. If I want the life I dream of living, then I need to commit to the things that will get me there. My goals and intentions don’t care about my mood.

It’s a new decade – how will you tackle it?

January Newsletter – Who will YOU be in 10 years?!

Happy New Year Everyone! 2020 is here and boy oh boy it’s going to be an exceptional year. Are you feeling optimistic about 2020? Dreadful? Sad? Hopeful? Excited? Determined? Take a minute to assess your own outlook of 2020; how are you feeling about it?

Have you set any goals and intentions for the year? Do you plan on pursuing the year with an open-mind and therefore don’t feel it’s necessary to create goals and intentions? Do you hope to be more spontaneous?

My question for you is this: who do you want to be in 10 years? What does a 10 year older version of you look like? Are you in the same job or are you doing something completely different? Are you eating the same foods or have you gone vegan? Are you hanging out with the same people or has your network completely changed? Are you pursuing the same weekend activities? After envisioning who you want to be, what does that mean you HAVE to do this year to get closer to that version of you? What must you accomplish this year to get there?

If in 10 years you want to be in the director position at the company you work at but you currently sit in an entry-level position, what does that mean you need to do this year to get one step closer to the director position? Do you have to apply to the next step up? Does your work need to improve to show your boss that you are qualified for the next position?

Do you have a vision of who you want to be in 10 years? If not, that’s a great place to start to determine how you want 2020 to look.

If you aim at nothing, you will get nothing every time. Every minute, every hour, every day, every YEAR is a new opportunity to grow. Get after it!
